Oh Yes, Chris!

Updated: Feb 19, 2023

Chris Haughton is right up there with my favorite (or should I say favourite) children's authors and illustrators.

Interview with Chris Haughton

Oh No, George! is one of the best picture books on the market. I love the concept, the style, the storyline, the characters, the hilarity, the artwork, the purples, the ending, the works. I teach it to my students. And so when author/illustrator Chris Haughton agreed to do an interview, and suggested the Tate Modern in London, I jumped to it.

Hey Chris,

your books are everywhere

After over fifty Zoom interviews, it was so refreshing to actually MEET the person I'm interviewing! This is only the second time I have done a live conversation since teaming up with the New Books Network (the first was my audio podcast with author/illustrator Maira Kalman at the Tel Aviv beach last year).

Chris is incredibly personable and generous (you can see it in the interview, I hope). And the roof of the Tate was an almost perfect venue.

Next: My Incredible Journey to New York and the SCBWI

Now on to the SCBWI children's writer's conference in New York, where I hope to meet other leading picture-book authors who are willing to discuss their unique successes. As it is I am pretty-well booked till the summer! Oh, and I'll say it again. I love interviewing wonderful authors!
