The Story

How did it all start?

Ourboox is a dream come true. A dream of enabling authors, students, anyone to create beautiful, interactive, page-flipping e-books in minutes (or less!) and share them with friends, or the entire world.

Ran Shternin, my wife Shuli Sapir-Nevo and I started Ourboox ten years ago and now, together with Allon Sasson our website that welcomes a hundred new titles a day, in thirty languages, and thousands of daily readers. You won't be surprised to learn that I have written many e-books on the platform (over a thousand last time I counted), many of them children's books illustrated by some of our best local illustrators.

Among the wonderful illustrators who have brought my books to life (and whose illustrations adorn this website) are: Rotem Omri, Dani (Danny) Kerman, Tali Niv-Dolinsky, Harriett Goitein, Yael Radushkevitz, Etzion Goel, and Irena Brodeski.

Recently we realized that the Ourboox book creator is great for helping authors create dummy books. We  created a separate website called dummyboox.com. You are welcome to try it out.
