It's been fifteen years since I started my college radio show, "You've Got Mel", in which I interviewed amazing people from many walks of life. When the Covid epidemic hit, I revisited the format, but this time with video interviews.

In late 2021, my friend Richard Lucas introduced me to Dr. Marshall Poe who is the head of the New Books Network. I ended up founding and hosting the Children's Literature Channel on NBN.

So far I have interviewed almost 200 kidlit  authors, editors, illustrators, publishers and agents from many countries. If you are celebrating a new traditionally-published picture book, let me know. Perhaps we'll have an interview!
